Stroud Red Band

The Stroud Red Band

We are an extension of the London Big Red Band, which has been in existence since the 1980s. Like them we play music from the heritage of the labour, socialist and international solidarity movements. We play at demonstrations, marches and benefits when we can.

We try to be as open as possible - no auditions, and no political correctness test. If you like the music and are in sympathy with our aims, we'd love to have you.

The band provided the music for Holocaust Memorial Day. This is the article in the Stroud Times.
Unfortunately the Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival had to be cancelled last year due to bad weather, but there's a great article about us in the Morning Star from Sue. We'll be there this year, leading the procession on 21st July.
